Will,

I do thank you for all of your hard work in the expansion of RTR. Your veiwer is a great addition to the program and I joyfully look forward to downloading version 2 when it becomes available.

I will be joining your forum in the near future mostly regarding your work on adding models to the program. I look forward to learning more about 3D modeling from you.

As I have not had a post on here for awhile my work has been keeping me busy as Insurance is mostly sold near the end of the year (do not know why).

I will be sending you some of my newest layouts to add to your collection soon as i complete them.

Please if you would not mind comtinuing to post in english on your forum i will follow them closely.

happy Railroading

DonR aka Blazer9

Hi,

Thanks for your kind words. I will inform in English as much time permits.

@ Chris: Many thanks for showing us your latest work. It's just wonderful! And I know, how many work, how many hours are behind such a beautiful texture. And a special thank you for the fantastic Santa Fe Warbonnet skins. I love them. And I'm sure not only me will do.

@ Dave: You can set the forum language to English before you join, clicking on the American flag in the upper right corner, or change it in your profile, after you have registered.

Textures:

The new bright track is finished. You can already download it in the textures thread, if you want: http://www.wleopold.ch/n_forum/viewthread.php?start=0&boardid=19&thid=409

In the new Layout Viewer you can select the desired track:

- RTR original (but without turnout cover)
- Brown (with turnout cover)
- Bright (with turnout cover)

In this texture thread you can also find Mike's/Trauemer's great skins for German rolling stock, his realistic smoke (which will also be choosable in the new Layout Viewer), and his altered standard bridge.

I have also opened a new "Tips & Tricks" thread: http://www.wleopold.ch/n_forum/viewthread.php?boardid=19&thid=451.

The first tip is, how you can easily turn models like stations, platforms or the coming new bridges in 22,5 ° steps to match them to diagonal track.

And last but not least, BrainBombers and me are working on and testing even more new features that will come with RTR 1.4 and Layout Viewer 2.0. I think that will be a great Chrismas for all us friends of RTR. Laughing

Kind regards,

Willi

Hi Peter,

I've not found a lot of info on the Porter but I don't doubt that you're correct. Their market seemed to have been in small locos for industry and such.

I've also revised the Warbonnet texture on the PA-1 to make it more prototypical (on the advice of friends).

Regards, Chris

This GE 44-ton is the last loco. I've not 'branded' it yet, just done that templating stuff I'd mentioned elsewhere.

Hi Maury,

Thanks for the kind words. Brainbom has done a nice job with these latest models.

Willi's work is just fabulous. We will have so many more possibilities once the next release is made available.

Best regards, Chris
