Hi everybody
Layout Viewer 2.0 is soon ready for release. I have just got a new parameter from BrainBombers, I could just build-in. With that parameter, the grade for the lift function can be set in 10 steps. Times of steep grades like Swiss rack railways are gone now. Or uneven grades, made in several steps. By setting this parameter, very soft and protoypical grades can be made very easy. Thanks BrainBombers!
Best regards,

Hi Willi,
That is something I've wanted from almost day one! What good news!
I've been working on a "shifter" coal run as part of the testing process. As one would expect, there will be a lot of grade changes in it. What a perfect testing opportunity.
I'll post the layout once it's completed. It'll take some time though as it consists of a yard, two wyes, and four mining operations with switching opportunities at each. Those that might be interested in watching the progress can let me know as I would be willing to post layout updates as it progresses.
Best regards, Chris |

Hi Dave,
I'll send it to you as soon as 1.4 hits the streets. I'm using a covered hopper and the Porter so you wouldn't be able to run it yet. Sorry.
Best regards, Chris |

Hi Willi,Dave and Chris,
Could it be,we´re offtopic a little bit. The Viewer(and Starter) is in testing progress to make it ready to launch here latest for xmas. Sorry Willi,i´d also offtopic a bit. The gradecontrol to lift tracks is a very good bonusfeature.
That helps us to bring a train from a level to the next level and back.
And it´s easier to correct tracks. _________________ for next time and thanx Peter

Hi,
unfortunately the grade control can be given as a parameter only, so you cannot change it after starting the program. Changing this parameter you will have to use Willi's Layout Viewer, or start the program via shortcut.

Hi Brainbom,
I think, that's not much of a problem that the grade control can't be changed in-game. The most important thing is, that it's now possible to build smooth, prototypical grades. With LV 2.0 it's easy to make some tests in the fast loading Basic Mode, and then decide for the grade I want to use in my layout.
Many thanks for this really great new feature!
Best regards,
