i just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely diverstiy of plants and buildings and critters and people.
i too would like very much to be able to or see them combined with the more modern motive power and rolling stock of rtr.
i grew up in a town full of false front buildings like those in ih, well into the modern era of all deisel and electric traction with steam already long gone.
also the indiginous people who lived there had not ever used skin houses (teepees) but did build circular and sometimes conical structures out of bark and slabs of wood. they did not wear feather head dresses but make and wear a kind of sweatband with a tail on it with porcupine quills.
the teepee is of the nomadic cultures of the central plains and what is now grain growing country.
the southwest looking rock formations are fine but it would be nice to have the rocks from rtr AND the ones from ih to be able to use togather.
as always i would like to see and have more then i can afford.
what you've given us is the best $15 bucks i've ever spent in my life, so i absolutely can't and won't complain.
i just wish i could have the plants, people, buildings even some of the older 8 wheel rolling stock of ih IN rtr or the engines, mu and locomotive hauled passinger stock of rtr IN ih.

Hi Brainbom,
Any timeframe for the release of RTR v1.3?
You've done a wonderful job with Iron Horses.
Best regards, Chris |

No. The network protocol to send emails (SMTP) is much slower than the protocol to download files (FTP). Test it out with a friend, let him send you an email with a 1MB attachement and afterwards download the file from the server. To assure that no proxy or cache disarrange the measurement, do the same with another 1MB file now download first and email second.
But back to IH:
I just came back from a holiday, will download IH in a minute and will be happy for the next days. |

No. The network protocol to send emails (SMTP) is much slower than the protocol to download files (FTP). |
The difference in speed between POP3 (or IMAP) and FTP is proportionate to the available bandwidth.
Doing any sort of test as you suggest would present a vary wide variation in results depending on the type and bandwidth of the connection used in the test.
But thanks again for the correction. I DO notice them. |

Its all great and I love it.
You are all so generous to give us all these extras for the
original price. Living on the budget I do, I realy appreciate
it all.
Thanks again |

Here's the problem! I know there is loads of help out there, so I hope the response is not too long. System Info states " missing password". Also States " IH Loaded ". When I select an Object ie: engine, I get Program is unregistered . Demo I runs OK, but the others freeze the computor. How do I register the program? I put in my Password when I first open Iron Horses, but this doesn't work . It looks like a great program. I have been waiting for it ever since I heard about it. _________________ ON THE NEVER ENDING TRACK TO PLEASURE |

It sounds like you have not entered your password into Rule the Rail...which needs to be registered first. You use the same password for both rule the Rail and Iron Horses.
Hope this helps

Thanks Don, I must have registered with RtR because it works fine and I have all the upgrades, Liveries, etc. My problem is where to enter my password and or register for Iron Horses. _________________ ON THE NEVER ENDING TRACK TO PLEASURE |

Don,thanks a lot. I found the required password and all is well in the west! To all other members that may answer this post, I thank you. Brainbomber, It seemed a long time coming, but here it is, and certainly worth the wait. Another BIG star for you. Thanks. All great things come to he who waits. Especially from the Brainbomber group. _________________ ON THE NEVER ENDING TRACK TO PLEASURE |
