InactiveI’m with you RoBear!!! Maybe brainbombers has jumped off the train? But I have a feeling that it is more likely that they are hard at work, putting the finishing touches on a fantastic new upgrade before they release it to us. Looking back at all the suggestions and fantastic new additions that others have created, it may be that they are trying to get all of it incorperated into the next release they give to us. But I shure would love to hear from them so that we still know they are out there, even if it is just to ask us to be patient a little longer.

ps… It has also been quite a while since anyone has heard from Willie.

Umm. They both disappeared from the forums around the same time. Maybe the Mothership returned…?

InactiveBrainbom, Willi, Capn’ Paul & Chris. The four most prolific contributors to RTR. Could this be pure coincidence? As one speculator put it,
“Dare I speculate?” I hope RG has it right and they’re working on the latest and
greatest upgrade of all! Either that or they’re plotting to….dare I say it…
dare I go that far…..plotting to take over the world in some virtual yet evil manner!
That is of coarse pure speculation, terms and conditions apply, your mileage may vary,
results not typical, offer subject to change without notice, see your local evil genius for details.

InactiveI have been beaming singles in to outer space just to see whether they have been abducted by aliens. But the great alien races have not heard of any abduction of the five. My hope is that they have not fallen of the end of the universe and got lost while on a far and long road trip in to the cosmos. Dave

InactiveGuys I know for a fact that Capt PDK was going to be away for several monthes due to transporting a barge from the west coast to the east coast
As for the others I think the summer as filled their date books with vacations and with the kids out of school.
I just wish they would give us a sign they are still with us

InactiveHi Don, I’m still alive and kicking. I’ve moved on to other things for the time being. I suppose I’ll return to RTR after the burnout has passed. To tell you the truth, I don’t even have RTR installed.
I noticed that Brainbomb hasn’t contributed a post to the forum in months. I suspect that’s an indication that (t)he(y) have moved on as well. Keep in mind that that’s speculation on my part. Has anyone contacted him/them directly?
It would be a travesty if the huge amount of work done since the last expansion pack/version release wasn’t published. I think Brainbomb owes the user community that – along with a formal notice that that release/expansion pack would be the last official release if they’ve no interest in supporting RTR/Iron Horses any longer.
Best regards, Chris

InactiveHi All I hope that if brainbombers has moved on, they will at least give us an upgrade that will allow those of us who are loyal to RTR to be able to share our building and other creations with the rest of the community.
I have recently downloaded the software needed to add my own contributions, instead of just relying on others to add to this great program. But if it is going away, I’m not going to put out the effort to learn these new skills if it is for nothing.

InactiveI’ve seen this on many a game forum. When the companies representatives stop posting on the forum and questions, requests, etc. go unanswered then the company has abandoned the game and moved on to something newer and more lucrative. Please, please…..let me be wrong!!!!
RTR is such a wonderful program and needs continued support and development….SIGH.

InactiveHi skatetrash, May be or not? But if it’s so then why we do not here as the Freespace1+2 in a Sourcecode Project for RTR In the Freespace-SCP the users are recoding all execs medias and campaigns and the modelling for that game is exactly as here for RTR. Let’s see what Brainbom think about this idea. In the next post for this topic i’ll release a link to Freespace scp,to members here see the different bitween our and their forum.

InactiveHi all Hope we don’t have these issues!
😥 But like Peter has said,
Free Up RTR to Public Licence so we can keep it going, if there is no other choice!!

InactiveHi Alex, If it’s so thenwe have to ask for permission from Brainbom. But these DLs will be mostly for the members and will have GNU licences,e.g. limited free. If Brainbom continue RTR and IH then we have to help him to realise the outstandig projects and future extentions

InactiveHi All, Not all those who wander are lost.
Has anyone checked the railyards of late, possibly they may be hiding out in a caboose, enjoying the fruits of their labor while we maintain shunting & train schedules.
Or possibly getting trapped within the yard due to incompetent shunting,
Maybe they did get lost within the yard, as it has grown some. I got myself lost in my own backyard, & forgot what was there, I took my time in coming back, as I wanted to enjoy what my work had created, and also to plan something special around what I had forgotten about, to make that extra special something, for all those who wander through my yard, and to get myself lost again in the future to come.
YO BRAIN COME BACKthe echo’s bounce from wagon to wagon as I return to the yard. Duty Calls.
