No problem. I have installed RTR with the new installers and the add remove programs is just the same you get Rule the rail and Rule the rail 1.4 upgrade in the list. You do need to install the 1st expack before it will accept the reg key and install 1.4 last after all ex packs are installed, as some expacks make it go back to 1.1.

    Hi Dave,

At last, it’s running okay. Even ran some routes I downloaded so all the packs must be installed okay.

Another question you may be able to answer. I downloaded a zipped folder called ‘gen_pass_for_usr_xli’.

Any idea what that is, don’t want to unpack and install unless I am sure.

Thanks for all your help, you got it right.

Top job. The thing you have dloaded is a validator program for 3d models. You don’t need to worry about it unless you gona make 3d models. If you would like to see my most complicated track, It is on my web site the BT 1 it took me 6 months to get it to run without any crashing. The reason it has not a lot of decoration is my computer will just about run it smoothly. It takes a good 10 mins to get all trains running.

…..and even my first model to implement into RTR without crashes took me near 1 year. (BT1 crashing RTR or on the board?) 😉
