    Hi Peter and all,

Do you run Vista with the UAC on or off? I eventually reinstalled Vista and first thing turned UAC off. It was causing problems with the newer extension packs and a lot of my older software. I’ve lived without it this long… Now Vista runs smooth as silk. The only problem I’ve had with RtR is when the MSI package executes the installation of RtR it fails to install the uninstaller. It does this for the first two or three extension packs also. Then the rest of the packs install complete with uninstaller. If I want to uninstall RtR I have to do it manually and edit the registry myself. A program like RegCleaner would also do the trick. Otherwise, I highly recommend Vista. ASLR, baby!!

    Hi RoBear,

I´d install all RTRstuff on fresh installed Vista with running UAC. But all RTRinstallroutines are setup.exe and not ***.msi. Did you deactivate the wmic.service? if yes then msi won´t run. :? I hope that helps.

    (running in 64bit dualcore mode 8) )

    Hi Peter,

Thanks for the tip. The install problem had me pretty perplexed. I’ll check it out.
