    Hi everyone,

I’m trying to build a fully automated station. But I have encountered a problem, and I cant find a way to fix it

    here’s the situation:

(I’l explain the upper track, the second track is a copy)

I have a station with two tracks, one train for every track.

each train has the same length and one engine.

When the engine is on the LEFT side, and you press “start1A”, the train will leave the station. When it returns, the engine wil be at the RIGHT side of the train, and will stop at signal “stop1B”.

Now I press “start1B”, the train wil leave the station again and ride the whole track. When it returns, the engine will be at the LEFT side. because there is a stop sign ( “stop1B”) the train will stop to early, it should stop at “stop1A” and thus blocking the entrance for other trains.

I’ve tried to set “stop1B” on GO with a control, and a second control toset “stop1B” to stop with a one second delay time. But it doesnt work. Making the rear wagon to a caboose wagon seems the only option to me. But I dont know to do that…

    Can anyone help please?

    Hi Avalanche,

If I understand your post correctly, you’re expecting different actions from the same side of the control (red or blue) from the same engine. When the engine is to the left of the train, it should pass through the control without stopping but when it is to the right, it should stop.

I think you can only do this through the actions of another engine on a controller track of some sort.

I forgot to ask but are you running digital or analog? According to the tutorial, “It is easier to control engines with digital control because you do not have to use power supplies and isolations. However you cannot stop and reverse the engine.”

Isn’t this what you’re trying to do?

Hi Avalanche, if your using digital I have never used it. It seems to get a track working quickly but does not have the fine control of analogue. If it was analogue I think you could do what you want with isolated track sections or a control track. Peter is better at digital he maybe able to help.

    Hi Avalanche,

How ya stop the train in the station? If you want to reverse train,is the stopper signaltrack short enough ? And … are the trains running with one or more machines?

May be you ´ve to use 1 machine in a train only as 1 signalbank in a station.

Try to dload BillyB´s lightsignals, they´re decenter as the originals.

    Peter

PS:i´ll make a endtrack so you can see what action bring the choosen reaction.

    hi,

i’m using the digital version, I find the analog verson very complicated :)

As chris said, i’m trying to stop and reverse the engine

As I read the reply’s on my post it seems that there is not really a solution, except maybe for those lightsignal that Peter sugested.

@Peter: the trains stop at at stopsignal, when I set the start signal to “go” the train wil leave the station in the reversed direction.

I’m not gonna give upt to this, there should be a way to do this.

Thanks anyway for all your replys, its great that this forum i stil active :)

pS: where can i find these lightsignals?
