    Hi,

    I have just seen, there are new layouts on the BrainBombers layout page. But again, the layout information files are missing.

    So I write it about the 50th time:

    All layout creators: Please publish your layouts from now on with all three files in the ZIP- file, for example:

    * mylayout.roa

    * mylayout.roa.jpg

    * mylayout.roa.txt

    Thanks,

    Willi

    Hi Willi,

    I have read lot of very positive feedback on your forum. I have posted my thanks also there, and I also had to fix a small bug in RtR after using LV 2.0.

    Regards,

    Hi Brainbom,

    You know, you were not meant and the members of my forum were not meant. I was talking about the feedback here. And many thanks for fixing that minor bug.

    @ All: As there are still new layouts released with spaces in the name, I write it once more:

    Please don’t use layout names with spaces or it will destroy the start-up parameters in Layout Viewer!

    Thanks,

    Willi

    Hi all layoutbuilders,

    Willi speaks the truth with the LV2.0 and the spaces in layoutnames.

    The spaces will make the LV confused with the spaces because the first part will be read as the name of layout and the second and(or) the third part will be read as parameters. 😯 :?

    I also had to fix a small bug in RtR after using LV 2.0.

    From BB.

    Can you tell me if we have downloaded LV 2.0 from Willi, will it still have the fixed bug and do we need to download it again?

    Do we have to use LV2.O?

    Hi Biggs,

    I got the impression that Brainbom had to fix a small bug in RtR so LV shouldn’t be impacted.

    No, you do not have to use LV 2.0. Just remember that whatever settings you had made in LV 2.0 the last time you used it will be the way RtR opens since LV provides startup parameters to RtR that persist from session to session.

    Brainbom – should we have downloaded RtR 1.4 again? When was the bug fix done?

    Which also reminds me of something I had meant to ask you; should you not maintain a mail list of folks that would like to be notified of changes/fixes/upgrades?

    Best regards, Chris

    Hi,

    The small bug was, that using the pink sunset background the houses will not be lit by the lamps. The bug-fix has been done the 19th of December by BrainBombers, so if you have downloaded RTR 1.4. before, please download again.

    Best regards,

    Willi

    Willi: Hello to you and all Members. I read that you received 0 feedback on your L.V.2.0. Consider this my assessment. Congratulations on what appears to be a useful addition to the RtR Program. I have downloaded Version 1.4, the Layout Viewer, and the Instruction Manual and have studied both the LV and the Manual intensely. After all that, I wonder if it is not too complicated for our Members, like myself, who are not sufficiently knowledgeable with computers? You are asking us to submit our layouts with .ROA Ext, rename our layouts with no spaces, a screen-shot with a certain size with a description of the layout. When I open the Layout in the viewer, it provides me with a picture. This is great, but why do I have to send a description? How do I get it into the archives, etc.? Do I send you three different emails, one containing the ROA File, one the screen-shot, and one containing the description? And, how do I modify these as you request? I think you are creating a lot of work for yourself and for Members by requiring us to do this so you can put them in the Viewer. I know the viewer is designed as a catalogue to preview the layouts. I like the way we can submit the layout to BBers and have it posted where we can select the downloads of our choice. In future versions of LV, can it be made to accept layouts submitted to BB and automatically do what you are presently asking us to do? I don’t understand the need for Archives. This post is not to be taken as a critisim. I personally think that this will be a good addition to RtR, but it needs to be easier to use. If a more detailed explanation of how to do things were provided, I know that we would all enjoy this great Viewer. At some point this Program will get beyond our capabilities and will become a program for a select group. The rest of us will be left behind. I hope this post will generate a response from other Members which will provide you constructive feedback. My kindest regards, thanks, and a wish that all of you and your families enjoy this Holiday Season. Bruce
