    Hi Willi,

I was thinking of just sending this signal to Brainbomb with the idea they might want to use it in a way similar to the crossing gates – loco horns sounding and lights animated instead of gate closing.

Thanks for your kind words and practical advice.

    Best regards, Chris

    Hi Chris,

Yes, that would be great, if BrainBombers could implement that feature with lights. Then we could start modeling light signals for trains and street traffic. 😆

    Best regards,

    Willi

    Hi Chris and Willi,

If Brainbombers will do that then we will have that “NEW” signalshapes. 8) :D

    Hi Peter,

You’ve given me an idea. I should go ahead and build the model for the signals as the first step in that process (once I get the modeling process down).

    Best regards, Chris

    Hi Chris,

I´v to read Willi´s modeling faq again. :? Forming parts i got it,but bring tese parts to one unit i´ll have to practice more. 😆 I see what i can.

Finish your crossing sign first. 😉

I decided to be more ambitious with the crossing sign.

    Hi Chris,

looks very good, just a little technical addition:

There are too many polygons in the round light section, and even with so many polygons it is impossible to create a perfect circle. In cases like this we use only a simple rectangle (made of 2 triangles), and use a bitmap with alpha channel to create the really perfect round shape of the flash light.

    Hi Brainbom,

Thanks for the guidance. I’ll be sure to incorporate it in the design.

    Best regards, Chris
